2. Role of the site and the parties
Discover Venice by Boat does not directly provide boat rental services, but operates as an intermediary platform between:
- the customer/user making the reservation;
- the owner of the boat affiliated with the Venice Commercial Leisure Consortium.
The Consortium exclusively manages the online booking phase and the collection of the confirmation deposit.
The actual rental contract is finalized directly between the customer and the owner of the selected boat.
3. Booking and payment methods
- At the time of booking, the customer pays a commission on the total price of the service via the online payment system (WooCommerce, PayPal, or credit card).
- This amount is collected by Diporto Commerciale Venezia as an intermediary.
- The balance must be paid directly to the boat owner on the day of departure or according to the methods indicated by him (e.g., cash, bank transfer, other).
- All the information needed to complete the booking is sent to the customer by email after the order has been confirmed.
4. Cancellations, changes, and no-shows
- If the customer fails to show up on the agreed date and time, the deposit paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes or cancellations must be requested by email at info@discovervenicebyboatcom.trasferimentiaruba.it.
- The boat will wait for the customer for a maximum of 15 minutes after the agreed time. After this time, if the customer has not arrived, the boat will be free to return to its mooring, the deposit paid will not be refunded, and the trip will be canceled.
- The total or partial refund of the deposit, in the event of cancellation with advance notice, is at the discretion of the Consortium or the owner, according to the specific conditions communicated.
- The customer may request a 100% refund up to 10 days before the start of the trip.
If the boat operator considers that it may be dangerous to carry out the excursion in conditions that are not suitable for safe operation, the trip may be suspended at any time and rescheduled according to the operator’s availability.
5. User obligations
The user agrees to:
- provide truthful and complete information during the booking process;
- arrive punctually at the agreed meeting point;
- comply with safety and conduct rules on board;
- do not use the service for illegal or dangerous activities.
6. Liability
- The Consorzio Diporto Commerciale Venezia acts exclusively as a technical and administrative intermediary for the management of reservations and deposit payments.
- The boat owner is solely responsible for the quality, safety, and proper execution of the charter service.
- The Consortium cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage, delays, cancellations, route changes, or weather conditions that may affect the customer’s experience.
- Under no circumstances shall the Consortium be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, or other economic consequences arising from the use of the services.
7. Prices
All prices shown on the website are in euros (€) and may include VAT, unless otherwise indicated.
The Consortium reserves the right to change prices at any time, provided that the rates applied will be those in force at the time of the confirmed booking.
8. Personal data
The data collected during the booking process is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.
By confirming the order, the user declares that they have read and fully accept the Privacy Policy.
9. Complaints
Any complaints regarding the service must be sent to info@discovervenicebyboatcom.trasferimentiaruba.it within 5 days of the date of booking or service.
The Consortium will liaise with the owner to handle the complaint.
10. Jurisdiction and applicable law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law.
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of the contract shall be settled exclusively by the Court of Venice (Italy).
11. Changes
Discover Venice by Boat reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The modifications will be effective from the moment they are published on the website.
